MONOGRAM at BBGM Announces Ryan Langlois Joining the Scottsdale Office as Design Director

MONOGRAM at BBGM, a leading international interior design firm, has announced that Ryan Langlois has joined the Scottsdale AZ office as Design Director.  Ryan brings over 20 years of experience designing hotels & resorts to the team as well as a broad international perspective.   After starting his career in Washington DC, he moved to Singapore working on projects around China, SE Asia and India. While in Singapore he led the interior design for the 5 Star Milaidhoo Resort in the Maldives.  More recently Ryan was working in London on a variety of hotels and resorts around the European region.  One of his most significant projects was leading the Design Team of the Mai House Saigon to completion.  Mai House is a 5 Star hotel in the heart of Ho Chi Minh city. His diverse experience working with clients in designing restaurants, spa, hotels, resorts and guestrooms around the world will add dimension and a new perspective to the projects undertaken by Monogram.

“I am thrilled to be launching this next phase of my career with MONOGRAM by BBGM,” says Ryan, adding “I’ve known of the great work the team was doing since my time in Washington DC, and look forward to bringing my experiences to the Scottsdale office.”

During his career Ryan has worked with major hotels operators such as Hilton, Hyatt, Taj Hotels, IHG, Marriott and Starwood.  Speaking about his sources of inspiration Ryan said his passion for travel fuels his passion for design and he knows from experience the joy of exploring destinations around the world and the role good design plays in that journey.

As Design Director Ryan will bring his first-hand experience with travel, exploration and design to bear on Monogram’s projects. “A great hotel should re-enforce a sense of place when you travel. It can be a luxurious oasis from the frenetic city around you, or a quiet sanctuary nestled in the hills of a distant land.”

Kathryn Mickel, Principal Director of Hospitality interiors added “MONOGRAM is excited about turning a corner in 2021. We are entering Q2 with great optimism.  This time has given us the opportunity to seek out new talent and engage strategic hires in order to be well positioned for the return to a healthy Hospitality Market.   We are thrilled to have Ryan Langlois join our Team.  Ryan’s extensive international experience and passion for his design work brings additional breadth to MONOGRAM’s strong base.   We see our long standing clients gaining confidence and we look forward to partnering with them toward a new vision for their assets and new acquisitions.”
