MONOGRAM at BBGM was tasked with the interior design for the renovation of multiple areas at the Hyatt Regency DFW hotel. Located inside the international airport, the hotel is the only in-airport hotel connected to Terminal C. The refresh of the property included a partial renovation of 811 guestrooms, 17 suites, guest corridors, 92,000 square feet of meeting space, and three F&B areas—Jets Coffee Bar, Aces Sports Bar and Jacob’s Spring Grille Restaurant. In addition to accommodating large conventions, the hotel serves as a convenient executive meeting facility for international companies with fly-in/fly-out meeting schedules.
MONOGRAM drew on the locale for the design inspiration, creating a hotel that celebrates ‘everything Texas’; similarly, much of the design is a playful nod to the airport location. Custom carpet patterns were inspired by the air traffic controller screens that indicate and monitor digital flight patterns. In the lobby, custom graphic artwork was inspired by travel destinations and departure monitors.
