InterContinental Washington D.C. – The Wharf

Hospitality | Architecture

The new InterContinental hotel, which achieved LEED Gold certification, stands as one of the sustainability pillars of the greater southwest waterfront development at The Wharf. Developed by the Hoffman-Madison, The Wharf grand opening took place on October 12, 2017, with many of the newly built establishments opening their doors to the public for the first time.

The InterContinental Washington D.C. at The Wharf offers guests and patrons a wide array of amenities. In addition to the 278 guestrooms and suites with waterfront views, the hotel houses a 4,250-square-foot spa, rooftop pool and bar, fitness center, 11 meeting rooms and the Kith and Kin Restaurant.

The InterContinental DC Wharf is one of several IHG projects completed by BBGM. BBGM, formerly known as BBG-BBGM, also provided design services for the Willard InterContinental in Washington, Crowne Plaza Monterrey in Mexico and the Crowne Plaza Washington, DC.
