BBGM is the design architect for the newly planned Virginia Beach Convention Center Hotel. The project includes both a full-service midscale and an upscale hotel totaling 700 guest rooms, 50,000 square feet of convention function space, and 20,000 square feet of retail and dining outlets.
The project is conceptually tied to the existing convention center while creating an new main approach to the convention site area. The relationship to the water is the main aesthetic element with nautical themes appearing in the architectural articulation.
